Atwood City, Rawlins County, Kansas is a city located in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. Atwood City had an official population of 1279 in 2000. Its population was estimated at 1069 in July 2008, It is the 173rd most populous in the U.S. state of Kansas. Its area is just over 1.1 sq mi (2.85 sq km), of which, 1.04 square miles (2.69 sq km) of it is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 sq km) of it is water, it is the 168th largest in terms of geographical size.
