Atwood Borough is one of the borough of Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, located towards the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, the population was 112. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 105, It is the 40th smallest by population in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. The borough has a total area of 2.11 square miles (5.46 kmē), of which, 2.1 square miles (5.44 kmē) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 kmē) of it is water, making it Pennsylvania's 344th largest by total area.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 112 people, 42 households, and 34 families living in the borough. The population density was 53.4 people per square mile (20.62/kmē), making it the 13th least densely populated borough in Pennsylvania. There were 43 housing units at an average density of 20.5 per square mile (7.92/kmē). The average household size was 2.67 persons, and the average family size was 3.06 persons. In the borough the population was distributed as follows: 25% under the age of 18, 7.1% from 18 to 24, 34.8% from 25 to 44, 20.5% from 45 to 64, and 12.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 89.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90.9 males.
