Atwater City is a city located in the Kandiyohi County, Minnesota, United States. In 2000, city's population was 1079 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 1027 in July 2008, It is 325th most populous in Minnesota. It covers total area of 1.07 square miles (2.77 kmē), of which, 1.02 square miles (2.64 kmē) of it is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 kmē) of it is water, it is the 473rd largest by area in the U.S. state of Minnesota.
