Atmore City is a United States city located in the Escambia County, Alabama, United States. In 2000, city's population was 7676 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 7428, making it Alabama's 72nd largest. It covers total area of 8.35 mi˛ (21.63 square kilometre), of which, 8.32 square miles (21.55 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 square kilometre) of it is water, making it Alabama's 159th largest by total area.
