Atlantic Beach City is a city located in Duval County, Florida, in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, the population was 13368. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 13147, making it Florida's 208th largest. The city encompasses an area of 12.98 miē (33.62 kmē ), of which, 3.73 square miles (9.66 kmē) of it is land and 9.25 square miles (23.96 kmē) of it is water, it is the 141st largest in terms of geographical size.

As of the census of 2000, there were 13368 people in the city, organized into 5623 households, and 3646 families residing in the city. The population density was 3584.3 people per square mile (1383.91/kmē), it is Florida's 208th most densely populated city.
