Atkins City is one of the city of Pope County, Arkansas, located towards the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 2878. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 2958, giving it the 99th largest population among Arkansas. The city comprises an area of 6.13 sq mi (15.88 square kilometre), makes it the 89th largest by total area in Arkansas.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2878 people, 1117 households, and 818 families residing in the city.
