Atka City is a city located in Aleutians West Census Area, Alaska, in the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Atka City is home to 92 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 71, It is the 86th least populous in the U.S. state of Alaska. It has total area of 36.17 square miles (93.68 sq km), of which, 8.74 square miles (22.64 sq km) of it is land and 27.42 square miles (71.02 sq km) of it is water, making it the 148th largest by size in Alaska. It is ranks 16 in the size of its inland waterways in Alaska.
