It is the 85th largest by population in the U.S. state of South Dakota. The census designated place has a total area of 2.95 mi˛ (7.64 sq km), of which, 2.94 square miles (7.61 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, it is the 45th largest by area in the U.S. state of South Dakota.
