Ashland City is a United States city located in the Ashland County, Wisconsin, United States. As of 2000 the population was 8620. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 8118, giving it the 85th largest population among Wisconsin. It has total area of 13.67 square miles (35.41 kmē), of which, 13.4 square miles (34.71 kmē) of it is land and 0.27 square miles (0.7 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 43rd largest by total area in Wisconsin.
