Asbury Park City is a city located in Monmouth County, New Jersey, in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. Asbury Park City had an official population of 16930 in 2000. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 16546, making it New Jersey's 85th largest. The city spans an area of 1.6 mi˛ (4.14 square kilometre), of which, 1.43 square miles (3.7 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.17 square miles (0.44 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 167th smallest in terms of geographical size.
