Arthur County is a county located in Nebraska, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 444 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 338, It is least populous county in Nebraska. The county encompasses an area of 718.32 sq mi (1860.44 square kilometre ), of which, 715.37 square miles (1852.8 square kilometre) of it is land and 2.95 square miles (7.64 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 36th largest by area in the U.S. state of Nebraska.
