Argyle City is one of the city of Denton County, Texas, located towards the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. Argyle City had an official population of 2365 in 2000. In July 2008, its estimated population was 3525, It is the 568th largest in terms of population. The city extends throughout a territory of 11.15 sq mi (28.88 kmē ), of which, 11.14 square miles (28.85 kmē) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, it is the 209th largest by area in the U.S. state of Texas.
