Aransas Pass City is a city located in the San Patricio, Aransas and Nueces counties, Texas, United States. It is home to over 8138 people (2000 census). The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 8810, It is the 238th largest by population in the U.S. state of Texas. The city spans an area of 51.85 square miles (134.29 square kilometre), of which, 10.74 square miles (27.82 square kilometre) of it is land and 41.11 square miles (106.47 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 37th largest by total area among Texas. It is ranks sixth in the size of its inland waterways in Texas.
