Appleton City is one of the city of Calumet, Outagamie and Winnebago counties, Wisconsin, located towards the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. In 2000, city's population was 70087 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 70305, It is the sixth largest in terms of population. The city spans an area of 21.36 mi˛ (55.32 sq km), of which, 20.88 square miles (54.08 sq km) of it is land and 0.47 square miles (1.22 sq km) of it is water, making it Wisconsin's 29th largest by total area.
