Apopka City is a city in the Orange County, Florida, United States. In 2000, the population was 26642. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 37935, It is 101st most populous in Florida. The city spans an area of 24.93 square miles (64.57 sq km), of which, 24.04 square miles (62.26 sq km) of it is land and 0.89 square miles (2.31 sq km) of it is water, it is the 63rd largest by area in the U.S. state of Florida.
