Antrim County is one of the 83 county of Michigan, located towards the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. It is home to over 23110 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the estimated population was 24109, It is the 24th smallest county by population in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is spread over 601.9 square miles (1558.91 square kilometre), of which, 476.94 square miles (1235.27 square kilometre ) of it is land and 124.97 square miles (323.67 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 53rd largest by size in Michigan.

The population density was 48.5 people per square mile (18.73/kmē), it is the 52nd most densely populated county in the U.S. state of Michigan. There were 15090 housing units at an average density of 31.6 per square mile (12.2/kmē). The average household size was 2.47 and the average family size was 2.89. In the county the population is diverse age-wise, with 24.4% under the age of 18, 6.3% from 18 to 24, 25.3% from 25 to 44, 26.6% from 45 to 64, and 17.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 99.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 96.8 males. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 24109, The racial makeup of the county was 96.79% White, 0.55% Black or African American, 1.16% American Indian, 0.22% Asian, 0.09% Native Hawaiian, and 1.2% from two or more races.
