Anoka County is a United States county located in the United States of Minnesota. The county has a population of 298084 as per the 2000 census data. The July 2008 population estimate is 327090, It is fourth most populous county in Minnesota. The county extends throughout a territory of 446.26 mi˛ (1155.81 square kilometre ), of which, 423.61 square miles (1097.14 square kilometre) of it is land and 22.65 square miles (58.66 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 12th smallest by total area in Minnesota.

As of the census of 2000, there were 298084 people, 106428 households, and 79413 families living in the county. The population density was 703.7 people per square mile (271.7/km˛), making its Minnesota's third most densely populated county. There were 108091 housing units at an average density of 255.2 per square mile (98.53/km˛). The average household size was 2.77 and the average family size was 3.19. In the county the population was distributed as follows: 28.9% under the age of 18, 8.3% from 18 to 24, 34.1% from 25 to 44, 21.6% from 45 to 64, and 7.1% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 101.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 99.3 males. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 327090, The racial makeup of the county was 294086 White, 12139 Black or African American, 2588 American Indian, 12305 Asian, 97 Native Hawaiian, and 5875 from two or more races.
