Angoon City is a city in the Skagway-Hoonah-Angoon Census Area, Alaska, United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Angoon City is home to 572 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 445, making it the 96th most populous in Alaska. The city comprises an area of 38.59 mi˛ (99.95 sq km), of which, 22.5 square miles (58.27 sq km) of it is land and 16.09 square miles (41.67 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 135th largest by total area among Alaska.

As of the census of 2000, there were 572 people in the city, organized into 184 households, and 138 families living in the city. The population density was 25.4 people per square mile (9.81/km˛), it is the 141st most populated city in terms of population density. There were 221 housing units at an average density of 9.8 per square mile (3.78/km˛). The average household size was 3.11 persons, and the average family size was 3.64 persons.
