Anawalt Town is a town located in McDowell County, West Virginia, in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. The population of the town was 272 as per the 2000 census data. In July 2008, its estimated population was 231, giving it the 34th smallest population among West Virginia. It covers total area of 0.65 sq mi (1.68 kmē), it is the 183rd largest by area in the U.S. state of West Virginia.
