It is the 83rd most populous in the U.S. state of Hawaii. It covers total area of 3.94 square miles (10.2 kmē), of which, 3.75 square miles (9.71 kmē) of it is land and 0.18 square miles (0.47 kmē) of it is water, it is the 57th largest by area in the U.S. state of Hawaii.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1932 people in the census designated place, organized into 549 households, and 423 families residing in the census designated place. The population density was 514.8 people per square mile (198.77/kmē), it would be the 88th most densely populated census designated place in the U.S. state of Hawaii.
