Anadarko City is a United States city located in the Caddo County, Oklahoma, United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 6645 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 6323, It is the 55th largest in terms of population. Its area is just over 7.17 mi˛ (18.57 sq km), of which, 7.09 square miles (18.36 sq km) of it is land and 0.08 square miles (0.21 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 148th largest by total area among Oklahoma.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 6645 people, 2387 households, and 1656 families residing in the city. The population density was 937 people per square mile (361.78/km˛), it would be the 216th most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. There were 2767 housing units at an average density of 390.3 per square mile (150.7/km˛). The average household size was 2.72 persons, and the average family size was 3.32 persons. In the city the population was spread out, with 32.6% under the age of 18, 9.3% from 18 to 24, 25.8% from 25 to 44, 18.8% from 45 to 64, and 13.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 87.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 81.3 males. The median age of the city's population was 32 years, the median age of male residents at 29.2 and the median age of female residents at 35.1. The racial makeup of the city was 2749 White, 414 Black or African American, 2742 American Indian, 16 Asian, 2 Native Hawaiian, 518 from two or more races and 204 Ohter races.
