Amory City is a United States city located in the Monroe County, Mississippi, United States. In 2000, the population was 6956. The July 2008 population estimate is 7262, It is the 50th most populous in the U.S. state of Mississippi. It is spread over 8.01 miē (20.75 kmē), of which, 7.5 square miles (19.42 kmē ) of it is land and 0.51 square miles (1.32 kmē) of it is water, it is the 76th largest by area in the U.S. state of Mississippi. It is ranks 19 in the size of its inland waterways in Mississippi.
