Altoona City is a city located in the Blair County, Pennsylvania, United States. In 2000, city's population was 49523 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 46144, It is the tenth largest by population in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. It covers total area of 9.77 sq mi (25.3 kmē), it is the 48th largest by area in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.
