Altavista Town is a town located in the Campbell County, Virginia, United States. As per the 2000 census, town has a population of 3425 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 3368, It is 152nd most populous in Virginia. The town encompasses an area of 4.92 sq mi (12.74 kmē ), of which, 4.89 square miles (12.67 kmē) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 kmē) of it is water, it is the 138th largest in terms of geographical size.
