Altamonte Springs City is a city located in the Seminole County, Florida, United States. It is home to over 41200 people (2000 census). Its population was estimated at 39947 in July 2008, It is 60th most populous in Florida. The city has a total area of 9.45 miē (24.48 kmē), of which, 8.9 square miles (23.05 kmē) of it is land and 0.56 square miles (1.45 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 199th largest by total area in Florida.
