As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 227, It is the 186th smallest by population in the U.S. state of Illinois. The city encompasses an area of 0.57 sq mi (1.48 square kilometre ), of which, 0.56 square miles (1.45 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 325th smallest by size in Illinois.
