Alpine City is one of the city of Brewster County, Texas, located towards the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. In 2000, the population was 5786. Its population was estimated at 6280 in July 2008, making it the 300th most populous in Texas. The city extends throughout a territory of 4.08 square miles (10.57 square kilometre ), making it the 499th largest by size in Texas.
