Alpharetta City is a United States city located in the Fulton County, Georgia, United States. In 2000, the population was 34854. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 49903, It is the 17th largest by population in the U.S. state of Georgia. Its area is just over 21.38 miē (55.37 kmē), of which, 21.36 square miles (55.32 kmē) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 23rd largest by total area in Georgia.
