Alma City is a city in the Bacon County, Georgia, United States. As of 2000 the population was 3236. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 3490, It is the 190th largest in terms of population. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 5.82 sq mi (15.07 sq km), of which, 5.73 square miles (14.84 sq km) of it is land and 0.09 square miles (0.23 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 144th largest by total area in Georgia.

As of the census of 2000, there were 3236 people in the city, organized into 1243 households, and 826 families residing in the city. The population density was 564.6 people per square mile (217.99/kmē), it is the 299th most populated city in terms of population density.
