Allentown City is a city in the Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 106632 inhabitants. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 107250, making it the third most populous in Pennsylvania. It has total area of 17.97 sq mi (46.54 sq km), of which, 17.74 square miles (45.95 sq km) of it is land and 0.24 square miles (0.62 sq km) of it is water, it is the 19th largest by area in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.

As of the census of 2000, there were 106632 people in the city, organized into 42032 households, and 25127 families living in the city. The population density was 6011.5 people per square mile (2321.05/kmē), making it the 93rd most densely populated city in Pennsylvania.
