It is the 139th most populous in the U.S. state of New Mexico. The census designated place has a total area of 7.31 mi˛ (18.93 square kilometre), of which, 7.21 square miles (18.67 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 74th largest in terms of geographical size.
