Alexandria City is a city located in the Campbell County, Kentucky, United States. In 2000, the population was 8286. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 8620, It is 53rd most populous in Kentucky. The city has a total area of 5.43 sq mi (14.06 square kilometre), of which, 5.38 square miles (13.93 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 75th largest by area in the U.S. state of Kentucky.

As of the census of 2000, there were 8286 residents, 2884 households, and 2275 families in the city.
