Alden City is a one of the Hardin County, Iowa, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. The population of the city was 904 as per the 2000 census data. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 818, giving it the 308th largest population among Iowa. The city spans an area of 1.73 square miles (4.48 kmē), of which, 1.72 square miles (4.45 kmē) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 kmē) of it is water, it is the 219th largest by area in the U.S. state of Iowa.
