Albuquerque City is one of the city of Bernalillo County, New Mexico, located towards the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. In 2000, city's population was 448607 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 521999, making it New Mexico's largest. The city comprises an area of 181.28 mi˛ (469.51 sq km), of which, 180.64 square miles (467.86 sq km) of it is land and 0.64 square miles (1.66 sq km) of it is water, making it New Mexico's largest by total area. It is ranks fourth in the size of its inland waterways in New Mexico.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 448607 people, 457 households, and 284 families living in the city. The population density was 2483.4 people per square mile (958.85/km˛), it would be the second most densely populated city in the U.S. state of New Mexico. There were 198465 housing units at an average density of 1098.7 per square mile (424.21/km˛). It has an average household size was 2.4 persons, and the average family size was 3.02 persons. In the city the population is diverse age-wise, with 24.5% under the age of 18, 10.6% from 18 to 24, 30.9% from 25 to 44, 21.9% from 45 to 64, and 12% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 94.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 91.8 males. The median age of the city's population was 34.9 years, The median age of males was 33.6 years, for females the median age was 36.1 years. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 321179 White, 13854 Black or African American, 17444 American Indian, 10068 Asian, 452 Native Hawaiian, 19318 from two or more races and 66292 Ohter races.
