Albany County, Wyoming is a county located in the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. Albany County had an official population of 32014 in 2000. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 32758, It is sixth most populous county in Wyoming. The county extends throughout a territory of 4308.79 sq mi (11159.71 sq km ), of which, 4272.75 square miles (11066.37 sq km) of it is land and 36.04 square miles (93.34 sq km) of it is water, makes it the eighth largest by total area in Wyoming. It is ranks sixth in the size of its inland waterways in Wyoming.

The population density was 7.5 people per square mile (2.9/kmē), it is the fifth most densely populated county in the U.S. state of Wyoming. There were 15215 housing units at an average density of 3.6 per square mile (1.39/kmē). The average household size was 2.23 and the average family size was 2.84. In the county the population was spread out, with 18.4% under the age of 18, 28.2% from 18 to 24, 26.1% from 25 to 44, 19.1% from 45 to 64, and 8.3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 93.7 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 94 females. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 32758, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 93.72% White, 1.62% Black or African American, 1.12% American Indian, 1.79% Asian, 0.07% Native Hawaiian, and 1.68% from two or more races.
