Albany City is a city located in the Albany County, New York, United States. In 2000, city's population was 95658 inhabitants. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 93539, giving it the sixth largest population among New York. Its area is just over 21.84 sq mi (56.57 square kilometre), of which, 21.38 square miles (55.37 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.47 square miles (1.22 square kilometre) of it is water, making it New York's 14th largest by total area.
