Alamosa City is a city located in Alamosa County, Colorado, in the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Alamosa City is home to 7960 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 8745, It is the 61st most populous in the U.S. state of Colorado. The city spans an area of 3.99 mi˛ (10.33 sq km), makes it the 114th largest by total area in Colorado.
