Aitkin City, Aitkin County, Minnesota is a city located in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 1984 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 1948, It is the 241st largest in terms of population. The city has a total area of 1.72 sq mi (4.45 kmē), it is the 348th largest by area in the U.S. state of Minnesota.
