Adrian City, Lenawee County, Michigan is a city located in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 21574. Its population was estimated at 21391 in July 2008, It is 64th most populous in Michigan. It has total area of 7.26 miē (18.8 kmē), of which, 7.14 square miles (18.49 kmē) of it is land and 0.13 square miles (0.34 kmē) of it is water, it is the 94th largest by area in the U.S. state of Michigan.

As of the census of 2000, there were 21574 people, 7908 households, and 4859 families living in the city. The population density was 3023.5 people per square mile (1167.38/kmē), giving it the 77th most densely populated city among the Michigan. There were 8498 housing units at an average density of 1190.2 per square mile (459.54/kmē). The average household size was 2.45 people, and the average family size was 3.09 people. In the city the population was distributed as follows: 25.3% under the age of 18, 15.4% from 18 to 24, 25.5% from 25 to 44, 19% from 45 to 64, and 14.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 87 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 80.8 males. The median age is 31.6 years, the median age of male residents at 29 and the median age of female residents at 34.9. The racial makeup of the city was 84.47% White, 3.52% Black or African American, 0.62% American Indian, 0.83% Asian, 0.02% Native Hawaiian, 2.83% from two or more races and 7.72% Other races.
