Adams County is a county in the United States of Pennsylvania. Adams County had an official population of 91292 in 2000. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 101119, making it the 31st most populous county in Pennsylvania. The county extends throughout a territory of 521.52 sq mi (1350.73 square kilometre ), of which, 520.01 square miles (1346.82 square kilometre) of it is land and 1.51 square miles (3.91 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 45th largest by total area among Pennsylvania's county.

In the county the population was spread out, with 24.9% under the age of 18, 9.2% from 18 to 24, 28.9% from 25 to 44, 23% from 45 to 64, and 13.9% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 96.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93.8 males. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 101119, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 97156 White, 2126 Black or African American, 255 American Indian, 724 Asian, 25 Native Hawaiian, and 833 from two or more races.
