Adams County, Idaho is a county of the United States of Idaho. The population of the county was 3476 as per the 2000 census data. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 3499, It is the fourth smallest in terms of population. The county spans an area of 1370 miē (3548.28 kmē), of which, 1364.58 square miles (3534.25 kmē) of it is land and 5.43 square miles (14.06 kmē) of it is water, making it Idaho's 22nd largest county by total area.


According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 3476 people, 1421 households, and 1031 families residing in the county. The population density was 2.5 people per square mile (0.97/kmē), it is ninth least densely populated county in Idaho. There were 1982 housing units at an average density of 1.5 per square mile (0.58/kmē). The average household size was 2.42 and the average family size was 2.83. In the Adams County, 23.9% of the population was under the age of 18, 4.6% were 18 to 24, 22.6% were 25 to 44, 32.7% were 45 to 64, and 16.1% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 105.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 102.1 males. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 3499, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 96.86% White, 0.06% Black or African American, 1.63% American Indian, 0.2% Asian, 0.03% Native Hawaiian, and 1.23% from two or more races.
