Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 316, It is Alaska's 148th largest by population . Its area is just over 127.29 sq mi (329.68 kmē), of which, 122.35 square miles (316.89 kmē) of it is land and 4.93 square miles (12.77 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 55th largest by total area among Alaska.
