Adair County is a county in the United States of Missouri. As of 2000 the population was 24977. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 24943, It is Missouri's 44th most populous county. The county spans an area of 569.32 square miles (1474.53 kmē), of which, 567 square miles (1468.52 kmē) of it is land and 2.31 square miles (5.98 kmē) of it is water, making it the 63rd largest by size in Missouri.

For every 100 females there were 88.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 84.5 males.
