Aberdeen City is a one of the Brown County, South Dakota, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Aberdeen City is home to 24658 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 24460, It is South Dakota's third largest by population . It is spread over 13.03 square miles (33.75 sq km), of which, 12.96 square miles (33.57 sq km ) of it is land and 0.07 square miles (0.18 sq km) of it is water, makes it the ninth largest by total area in South Dakota. It is ranks 13 in the size of its inland waterways in South Dakota.
