Abbeville City is a United States city located in the Henry County, Alabama, United States. As of 2000 the population was 2987. Its population was estimated at 2937 in July 2008, It is 152nd most populous in Alabama. The city extends throughout a territory of 15.61 sq mi (40.43 square kilometre ), of which, 15.56 square miles (40.3 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 square kilometre) of it is water, making it Alabama's 71st largest by total area.
